CMR Casper City Challenge Race Series!

Posted in Uncategorized on January 28th, 2009 by csmitty58

This season CMR expanded the Casper City race however; our first race had to be canceled due to mother nature not cooperating and there being a lack of snow on Dreadnaught.

However we are confident that will not be the case for the last three races! Pre-registration entry forms will become available as soon as I overcome a computer glitch; however if you would like more information or an entry form e-mail me at csmith08@bresnan.net and I will send you one.

Casper City Challenge is aimed at all levels of skiers and snowboarders with FUN being the main theme and goal! This season Mountain Sports is providing  prizes and CMR will be awarding Western Style Rodeo Belt Buckles (we are the Cowboy State) to the two fastest Women and two fastest Men  in the 18 and under and the 19 and over categories. The Casper Mountain Racers hope you will come out and participate in this event for we feel skiing and snowboarding is a life sport and racing is just one more way of adding some excitement to your everday mountain skiing experience.

Just Hey!

Posted in Uncategorized on January 10th, 2009 by csmitty58

Hi everyone I would like to say thank-you for all the young and older athletes that participated in the Christmas camps this year. I think the final total will be around 24 athletes in the Buddy Werner program. This is great showing and feel Bob Kidd, Alexa Munday, Andrew Bruce and Ryan Butler did a fantastic job and I have received some great feed back from parents and their kids on their efforts.

Our Racing season in in full swing; this weekend the J3A’s are racing in Whitefish MT and that is where this posting is being generated. Next weekend Coach Chris Weaver and the YSL athletes will travel to Red Lodge MT for their first race.

We heard today that Sean Munoz won the GS race at Jackson HS meet Congrats to Sean he has been skiing well in training and it showed today.  Sean Henley was a  strong 8th while Austin Deane (now of the Jackson team ) was 3rd. Congrats to all!

This season all the athletes have been training hard and are all skiing well and ready for competition having raced in Vail CO in early Dec and or training over the Christmas break. I feel they will have agood season and look forward to seeing them all race.

See you all soon

Chris
