Casper Mountain Racers provides a high quality, safe, alpine racing experience for the youth in the Casper Region.  We will instill a sense of responsibility, discipline, team spirit, good sportsmanship and integrity in the athlete while teaching successful, competitive alpine racing techniques that will provide lifelong benefits for the athletes and their families.

Casper Mountain Racers was incorporated in 1976 as a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of the sport of alpine skiing and to the development of alpine ski racing skills.  CMR provides its members with high quality, professional coaching along with the opportunity to compete in local, regional and national amateur races.

The Casper Mountain Racers program is based at Hogadon Ski Area, nine miles south of Casper, Wyoming.  CMR is a member of the Northern Division of the Western Region of the United States Ski and Snowboard Association.  Members compete in selected USSA sanctioned races in Wyoming, Montana and Colorado, and qualify for Western Region and Northern Division teams as well as for the regional and national USSA/Rolex Junior Olympic Series.

CMR teams are designed for athletes 7-23 years old who wish to refine their skills through dedicated training and competition. The season begins in October with dryland training for the Ability and Development Groups, followed by Fall Camp in Summit County, Colorado in mid-November. On-snow training begins in late November or early December, conditions permitting, and continues through March. Ability and Development Group athletes train every weekend and on selected school holidays, including the entire winter break. Training is also available Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons. Buddy Werner League members begin training with a three-day Christmas Camp and continue every Saturday throughout the season.
